Focused on abundance.

Pont Advisory is committed to removing barriers to infrastructure, innovation, and economic development. No matter your challenge, our team has a history of cracking tough puzzles – from enabling business transactions to continue during the pandemic emergency to standing up a nation-leading federal grants engine.

Pont is motivated by the belief that the most significant barrier to achieving our shared goals – affordable housing for all, good-paying jobs, an economy that works to reverse rather than exacerbate the effects of climate change – is what Professor Nicholas Bagley calls our “procedure fetish”: an obsessive focus in our governments on process at the expense of outcomes. We need a deep understanding that achieving our goals requires growth: an end to homelessness is something you build, a zero-carbon economy is something you build, a walkable community is something you build. As Governor Whitmer said, “build, baby, build.”

So that is what we’ll work on: removing the barriers to the kind of development and growth we need to build stronger communities, walkable neighborhoods, clean energy, and manufacturing prowess here in the United States. That doesn’t mean tearing down government – in fact, it’s precisely the opposite. We want to enhance the capacity of government to help the private sector achieve our shared goals. Hence, Pont, French for “bridge”: we’re bridging the divide between the private and public sector.
